I got my start as a music professional in 1980. After writing a collection of only 4 pop songs for a yet un-named project, I was visited in the studio by the Program Director of Toronto’s number one radio station (CHUM FM). Warren Cosford had come to offer a live broadcast on the CHUM network based on a song called “You’re On My Radio”.
Within six weeks, I had completed writing 9 more songs. The band named Zero One performed live at the El mocambo to a Canada wide live simulcast in February of 1980. Within weeks the band had attracted the attention and signed to manager Michael Cohl (who now manages the tours for the Rolling Stones and U2) and secured a record deal with Anthem Records (the label owned by the band RUSH). The first album was released in the summer of that year and no less than 4 singles received regular radio play across Canada to spearhead their fall and winter tour.
The original Zero-One Album was released on on CD. There are a limited number of copies available for fans. Please click the contact button to be in touch with me for details.
